Aloo Kofte Recipe

INGREDIENTS
1. Boiled Potatoes - 4
2. Besan
3. Salt
4. Turmeric
5. Coriander powder
6. Dry red chilli
7. Garam masala
8. Ginger garlic paste
9. 2 Finely chopped onions
10. Green chilli
11. Tomatoes paste
12. Dahi
13. Coriander
14. Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
15. Asafoetida - 1 teaspoon
16. Bay leaves - 1
METHOD
1. Mash the boiled potatoes. Mix besan, salt and a pinch of turmeric in it. Add a little water and make small balls.
2. Heat oil in a frying pan. Fry the balls and keep them aside.
3. In the oil left, add Asafoetida, cumin seeds, bay leaves and dry red chilli. Saute ginger garlic paste and finely chopped onions till it turns brown.
4. Add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt as required and tomatoes paste. Saute for 3-4 mins. Add curd and water.
5. After 5-7 mins., add garam masala powder and fried balls. Cover the lid. Turn off the flame immediately.
6. Garnish it with coriander.
Aloo ke kofte are ready to serve.

NOTES
1. If you want to avoid deep frying, you can also shallow fry the koftas or microwave if you want.
2. Remember to turn of the flame immediately after adding fried balls in the gravy so it doesn't break.
