Masala Chicken Recipe
PREPARATION TIME - 10 mins.
COOKING TIME - 30 mins.
INGREDIENTS
1. Chicken - 500g
2. Thinly sliced Onions - 3 large
3. Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tablespoon
4. Whole cumin seeds
5. Bay leaves - 2
6. Green Cardamom - 2
7. Black cardamom - 1
8. Cinnamon - 1/4
9. Cloves - 2
10. Red chilli - 2
11. Salt
12. Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
13. Dahi - 1/2 tablespoon
14. Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
15. Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
16. Cooking oil
17. Coriander leaves ( for garnishing)
METHOD (FOR MARINATION)
1. Clean the chicken well with water. Put it in a bowl and add sliced onions, ginger garlic paste, salt, turmeric, bay leaves, whole cumin seeds, green cardamom, black cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, coriander powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, dahi, red chilli.
2. Mix all the ingredients with chicken. Cover the lid and leave it for around 10 mins.
3. Heat 2 tablespoon cooking oil in a pan. Add the marinated chicken to it and fry it on medium heat. Slow down the flame in between.
4. When the spices are roasted and oil starts to separate, add 1/2 glass of water and slow down the flame.
5. After 2-3 mins. When chicken seems cooked turn off the flame. If you want you can add water too.
6. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
